Fadia came to Greece after having fled Afghanistan. Now, she is 20 and lives in Germany. But she wants to return to the place she once called home. The refugee camp she lived at: Ritsona. We accompany her on her journey.
For Fadia (20), Greece is a special country. It's where she first arrived in the EU, and where she initially lived in a refugee camp before moving on to Germany. It's been five years since she was in Greece – but memories of the camp are never far from her thoughts. And now, she wants to return. Accompanied by an aid organisation that helps female refugees, Fadia is travelling back to Greece to give something back, as she puts it. But her immediate hope is being able to visit the camp that was once her home. And we want to be there with her. Gaining access to a refugee camp, however, is not straightforward – especially with a film camera. For Fadia, it's a journey that means facing her past. How will she feel? And will she manage to return to the place that has such significance for her? And will we be able to join her?
