Twenty Italian academic institutions including universities, academies and higher education institutions, have participated in IDOHE, Italian Days on Higher Education, which were held for the first time in Morocco. Events were organized on October 2 in Casablanca and on October 5 in Rabat.
The meetings dedicated to the promotion abroad of the Italian academic system were organized by the association Uni-Italia, in cooperation with Italy's diplomatic-consular network.
The initiative offered representatives of Italian universities and academies the opportunity of meeting Moroccan students, presenting their courses and curricular activities and forging connections in the most dynamic and promising settings for internationalization.

Over 1,500 student visas issued in 2024 - Amb. Salzano
"The future of relations between our countries is mainly based on the talent of new generations", said Italy's Ambassador to Morocco, Pasquale Salzano, opening IDOHE in the Moroccan capital.
"This is shown by the constantly growing number of Moroccan students who choose to study in Italy: over 1,500 student visas were released last year alone, with a demand that is continuing to rise. Training is a precious investment and also represents one of the central cornerstones of the Mattei Plan for Africa, of which Morocco is a priority partner," he added.
Italy's Mattei Plan is aimed at creating a new strategic partnership with African countries and addressing the root causes of irregular migration.
"Investing in knowledge means creating a shared future of growth, innovation and stability," continued the ambassador.
He thanked the Italian universities present, "among the best in the European scenario", which "show a concrete commitment to favoring exchanges of quality and building enduring connections between students, professors and institutions from our two countries."

Knowledge to cement the union between two countries
The aim of the initiative is to promote meetings between representatives of Italian cultural centers and foreign students in their country of origin. According to Ambassador Salzano, "Italy and Morocco are countries that unite Mediterranean shores and look at Africa together, believing in the value of knowledge as a tool of economic, social and civil growth."
He expressed the hope that young people interested in the program will be able "to find in Italy not only opportunities to study, but a life experience that can enrich you and connect you even more to this historic friendship between our countries."
