A training project organized in cooperation with the University of Trento organizes cooking, technology and business classes to empower migrants in Italy. It aims to help the integration of migrants and empower them through food and is especially aimed at a female audience.
.It organizes classes on nutrition, digital technology and business ''to create opportunities and connections''. Three types of training CusCus, organizers said on the initiative's website, is a training program based in Trento to help participants ''express their creativity in the kitchen'', publish their countries' recipes and traditions on the internet and start original business plans in the gastronomic sector and beyond.The project's partners are the Association Teachers Without Borders onlus, Atas onlus, CoderDolomiti, Impact Hub, Food Connects People, Collettivo PickMeUp. The project provides different types of courses. They include classes enabling students to obtain the HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) certificate and culinary workshops for Italian, foreign and fusion cuisine
Technology for everybody
Another training program focuses on digital technologies with courses to provide basic knowledge of web technologies, the most common computer programs and social media like Facebook, Instagram, web planning and a lab on 'TrashWare'. The lab teaches students how to put together personal computer pieces often considered broken to obtain material that can be recycled for associations and communities in need. Another program teaches business creativity with training to start up a project in the fields of business, administration and communication. The courses set up as part of the project kicked off in October this year and will end in June 2018.
