'Objective: to favor university access and integration'
The ministry said that the objective of the project is not only granting scholarships but, in a wider sense, increasing the chance of migrants enrolling in university, and improving the integration of foreign citizens at colleges.
The initiative will be mainly addressed at students from countries such as Algeria, Cameroon, the Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Africa, Tunisia and Ukraine.
With this project, the ministry -- under the guidance of Minister Anna Maria Bernini -- has confirmed its commitment to the integration and right to education and equal opportunities of accessing university for those who have obtained international protection in Italy.
