Starting at midnight on November 27, Lampedusa saw the arrival of 12 boats, bringing a total of 465 migrants to the island in just one day.
On November 27, Lampedusa recorded the arrival of 465 migrants traveling aboard 12 boats.
The day began with the arrival of 97 migrants between the evening of November 26 and the early hours of November 27.
Among them, 21 individuals reached Cala Francese and 19 arrived at Cala Maluk. These groups included people from the Ivory Coast, Somalia, Egypt, Mali, Syria, and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, at the Favarolo dock, the Finance Guard’s patrol boat V836 brought 57 migrants -- Bengali, Pakistani, Sudanese, and Egyptians -- rescued from a vessel off the coast. According to the migrants, they had departed from Abu Kammash and Sabratha in Libya.
All 97 individuals were taken to the Contrada Imbriacola hotspot, which was already hosting 524 people at the time of their arrival.
The Prefecture of Agrigento arranged for the transfer of 266 individuals on the morning of November 27. They were transferred by the Sansovino ferry line, and it arrived at Port Empedocle in the evening.

More boats arrive in the evening
As the day progressed, more boats reached Lampedusa. Four dinghies were intercepted off the coast by Frontex patrol boats, while a fifth, carrying 66 migrants, managed to dock directly at Cala Pisana.
Therefore, in just a few hours, a total of five boats arrived, for a total of 175 persons, arrived on the largest of the Pelagie islands.
At the moment of their arrival, additional boats had been spotted and rescued, bringing another 193 persons to Lampedusa, reaching a total of 465 migrants registered only on the evening of 27 November.
