Everything started with an episode that allegedly occurred at dawn on September 1 in a small town near Naples, local daily Il Mattino reports.

A migrant spokesman told the paper that "one of us was severely beaten by a group of boys." He was repeatedly hit on the head.

"It's not the first time something like this happens. We have also been attacked with glass bottles over the past few months,” the spokesperson told Il Mattino. “We didn't do anything wrong - it's unfair.”
