A social cooperative in Bologna has launched a social media campaign in more than ten languages to explain the coronavirus emergency to foreigners living in Italy.
The goal is to "explain better and to everyone the content of the government's decrees, taking into account that thousands of people have arrived just recently in Italy and don't have a command of the language," said the organization that launched the campaign, 'Arca di Noè' (Noah's Arc). They called on "everyone in contact with migrants and foreign communities to share the video."
Corona emergency measures explained
The cooperative created eleven different videos that explain the regulations that must be followed because of the corona emergency. The cooperative said this initiative will "reach the main communities from more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, for a total of about five million people who don't have a command of the Italian language".
What languages are available?
The videos are available in Arabic, French, Urdu, Dari, Pashto, Bengali, Mandinka, Bambara, Tigrinya, Wolof and Somali.
