If you are undocumented:
Undocumented people receiving state medical aid (AME) can obtain a 50 percent reduction on public transport, after providing a tax notice to Solidarité Transport.
After that, a discount card lasting from one month to one year will be issued, and can be renewed.
If you are an asylum seeker:
Asylum seekers, beneficiaries of the CMU-C (complementary universal health cover), can are eligible for the "solidarity transport card".
This card allows for a discount ranging from 50 percent to 75 percent: If you buy a weekly or monthly transport pass you are eligible for a reduction of 75 percent, and if you buy individual tickets or a carnet (a 10-trip pass) you are eligible for a reduction of 50 percent.
If you are a refugee:
If you have been granted refugee status you are subject to the general law: recipients of RSA (active solidarity income) and unemployed persons who qualify for the special solidarity allowance (ASS) or the CMU-C are eligible for free transport services, as are all members of their household.
How can I get a transport fare reduction?
To get a discount on a travel pass, you must buy a full-fare subscription and then ask for the refund that corresponds to your administrative situation. You will be reimbursed by check.
To get the reduction on tickets, present your discount card at the ticket counter and it will be applied on the spot.
