Today's photo shows street artists decorating the facade of INTERSOS 24, the new reception center for unaccompanied foreign minors in Rome. The center is to be opened by the humanitarian organization INTERSOS over the next few days.
Both the she-wolf symbol of Rome, a bear wearing traditional clothes of the Andes, and a welcome nest are now painted on the walls of the former school building that is to host the migrant center and a medical care facility.
Open to all
INTERSOS24 will be a place that is open to the neighborhood and to the entire city of Rome, a place where it is possible to experience integration directly on a daily basis," says Cesare Fermi, in charge of the migration programme for INTERSOS. The event included children's entertainment, musical performances and moments of sharing between Italians and migrants.
