An unusual donor: The Italian Finance Police will donate 44,000 seized assets to migrants and refugees in the Diocese of Andria.

The picture shows agents from the Italian Finance Police as they donate items to migrants in Andria, in the region of Puglia. The items were seized from a convicted felon accused of theft and fencing. The Finance Police donated about 43,870 objects, including bathroom furnishings, office furnishings, toiletries, and kitchen shelving, to the Santa Maria Goretti migrant reception home in the Diocese of Andria.

Since its founding, the organization has been involved in works of charity and assistance to those in difficulty, offering migrants, the poor, and the marginalized a wide range of services in social assistance and in human development to respect rules, rights, and duties. The Trani prosecutor's office permitted the seized goods to be donated rather than destroyed.
