This picture shows a hygiene facility exclusively for migrants and refugees who arrive in Lampedusa, Italy. It was opened on Tuesday as part of an overhaul of the Favoloro quay. Until now, arriving migrants sometimes had to wait for hours under the hot sun or in the cold at night before being able to access formal facilities.
The restructuring has taken several months, during which time migrants and refugees arriving on the island have been disembarked at commercial quays.
