Today's picture shows migrants who were intercepted in Libyan waters on their way to Europe. They were returned to Libya by the Zawiya Coast Guard and Port Security.
Among the 147 migrants on board the rubber dinghy were four infants and 20 women, they all came from 12 different African countries. They paid 2,000 Libyan dinars (roughly 1.275 euros) for the trip, which took off from Sabratha.
"We intercepted the boat 10 miles from the coast," said First Lieutenant Abdul Rahman Milad of the Zawiya Coast Guard. The migrants were taken to the port of Zawiya and the detention center there.
