This picture was taken during the disembarkment of 120 migrants Tuesday afternoon in Lampedusa. They arrived onboard port authority vessels and were helped by Dr Pietro Bartolo, the famous 'migrant doctor' who was recently awarded UNICEF Italy Goodwill Ambassador.
The 120 new arrivals are part of several groups of migrants that have been rescued over the last few days by various military and civilian ships. According to Italian regulations, migrant women, small children, minors and men requiring immediate medical attention are to be disembarked on Lampedusa especially.
