As announced in the Pact on Migration and Asylum, this initiative aims to introduce a digital visa to replace the paper visa sticker currently used and to enable those planning to travel to the EU to submit their visa application online.
The aim of the consultation is to obtain the views of citizens and stakeholders on the envisaged initiative, in particular on the usefulness of an online application process and EU/national application portal, as well as the replacement of a visa sticker with a digital visa.
