Migrant smuggling is a global crime that exposes migrants to life-threatening risks. The EU’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum puts preventing and combating smuggling at the center of its comprehensive approach to migration.
The purpose of the present open public consultation is to gather views from citizens and stakeholders to inform the preparation of the above initiatives, as part of the consultation activities that will help design the EU action plan against migrant smuggling (2021-2025).
