The work measuring nearly 5 meters in height and 3 meters in width was made from refractory ceramic and galvanized iron. It was inaugurated on June 28, 2008 thanks to the Amani association and the famous Italian poet Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori. The gateway is inspired by the trials of the thousands of migrants who attempt - all too often in vain - to reach Europe in the desperate search for a better future. The restoration project has been drawn up and is being presented to the relevant authorities. (Photo by Elio Desiderio)
