A small Dutch church's hard work has paid off — the government will review hundreds of children's rejected asylum applications. Dutch law prohibits authorities from entering a church building while a service is underway.

Germany's refugee office could be given four years instead of three to recheck asylum approvals. The government has also paved the way for a new law to better facilitate the exchange of asylum seekers' data.

Two of the three suspects reportedly tried to build a homemade bomb and considered carrying out an armed or vehicle attack. Prosecutors accused the suspects of planning an "Islamist motivated attack."

The Italian prime minister has said that the migrants stranded on a rescue boat operated by German NGO Sea Watch will soon be allowed to disembark. They will then be redistributed among several EU states.
