A new study, by Britain’s public service union UNISON, has found that some migrant care workers are being exploited by rogue employers, including having to share beds, sleep rough or pay huge fees for the right to work.

Morocco: Nearly 80,000 attempts to reach the EU prevented in 2024

Morocco’s Interior Ministry reported that it has stopped close to 80,000 attempts to reach the European Union in 2024, up 4.6 percent from the previous year. The majority of those intercepted originated from West Africa.
